Boy, 16, shot in South Shore

A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

About 6:20 p.m., the boy was shot in the chest in the 7300 block of South Dante, according to preliminary information from police.

He was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
