Teen shot in Chatham

A teenage boy was shot in the South Side Chatham neighborhood Thursday night.

The 17-year-old told investigators he was shot in the leg in the 400 block of East 84th Street, police said, citing preliminary information. He took himself to Provident Hospital at 9:55 p.m., police said.

His condition was unknown late Thursday.
