It’s official. When NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman says the D-word, that solidifies it.

It’s long been talked about whether the Blackhawks’ three Stanley Cup victories in six seasons would constitute a dynasty. As he presented the Stanley Cup to the Blackhawks on Monday after their 2-0 victory over the Lightning in Game 6, Bettman removed any doubt:

“Well, Chicago. That’s three Cups in six seasons. I’d say you have a dynasty. And you great fans deserve it.”
