Man shot in Grand Crossing

A 49-year-old man was shot early Monday in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.

About 1 a.m., the man was shot in the side in the 8000 block of South Maryland, police said, citing preliminary information.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he is in serious condition. Police said he was not cooperating with investigators.
