People love to hate the Patriots and Cardinals. Sustained success will do that to fans everywhere else.
The hatred toward the Patriots is what made the DeflateGate scandal such a thrill for everyone outside of New England.
And now, with the Cardinals being investigated by the FBI and embroiled in their own scandal, fans are relishing the opportunity to dump on St. Louis.
Toronto Blue Jays star Jose Bautista joined in on the fun Tuesday, slipping in a jab at Patriots coach Bill Belichick when asked about the Cardinals scandal.
“I’m, though, intrigued to know why the FBI is involved and not just the MLB’s investigations department,” Bautista told Yahoo Sports Radio’s Travis Rodgers. “So, that’ll be interesting to see. But it looks like they just took a page out of Bill Belichick’s book.”
The FBI is investigating the Cardinals for hacking into player personnel data in a Houston Astros database.
Bautista also spoke out against the MLB All-Star Game voting, which has eight of the nine American League starting spots currently going to Kansas City Royals players.
