Notre Dame junior quarterback Malik Zaire was helping the quarterbacks at the Fighting Irish football camp when one camper missed his target and threw the ball at Zaire’s head.

Zaire is listed as the starter for the 2015 season, and the last thing coach Brian Kelly needs is an injury to his starting quarterback.

The Fighting Irish quarterback threw for 266 yards and one touchdown during his two starts last season. Zaire also rushed the ball 33 times for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

Kelly plans to use Zaire as a dual-threat quarterback, if he can stay healthy through camp.
