SHARE Burglaries reported in Rogers Park

Police are warning residents about a series of home burglaries reports over the past month in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

In each of the reported break-ins, one or more suspects have entered homes and targeted the victims’ bedrooms, where they rummaged through dresser drawers and took cash and jewelry, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries occurred:

  • In the 1700 block of West North Shore between 1 and 9 p.m. sometime between May 22 and 24;
  • In the 6700 block of North Hermitage between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 3;
  • In the 1700 block of North Wallen between 2:30 and 4:10 p.m. June 9.

In the North Shore burglary, the suspect or suspects entered the residence and kicked open locked bedroom doors, police said.
