A man was shot while riding in a vehicle in the South Chicago neighborhood late Thursday.

About 11:30 p.m., the 23-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle in the 8300 block of South Phillips when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The driver of the vehicle took him to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
