A man was shot Thursday afternoon while walking in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The man, 19, was in the 7300 block of South Loomis about 5:10 p.m. when someone came out of an alley, fired shots and ran away, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.

He was shot in the chest, arm and ankle, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition stabilized.
