Popular veteran Chicago TV anchor Alan Krashesky — seen here appropriately beaming — has become a grandfather for the first time.

The longtime WLS-Channel 7 mainstay will be called “Grandpa” (or perhaps some other cute grandfatherly nickname) by little Caroline Jean, who entered our world at 7-pounds-1-0unce, and at 19.5 inches on Thursday. Congrats, too, to Krashesky’s daughter Kaylin and her husband, John, the happy parents of little Caroline Jean.

Krashesky — ever the newsman — noted that the tiny tot was delivered right smack in the middle of the Blackhawks third Stanley Cup victory within in the past six seasons.
