Cubs manager Joe Maddon is switching some things up against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. He will play third baseman Kris Bryant in left field and move second baseman Addison Russell into the sixth spot in the batting order.
Bryant will make his first start in left field, and his second start in the outfield — he played center field on April 24. The last time Bryant played in the outfield, he went 2-for-4 with one run scored.
Kris Bryant will make his first career start in left field tonight, his second career start in the OF. His last OF appearance was on 4/24.

Tuesday will be the first night Russell will not hit in the ninth spot. Maddon likes having a position player hitting in the ninth spot, and he will use infielder Jonathan Herrera there instead.
Russell has improved his hitting since being called up from Triple-A on April 21. He’s hitting .254 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 35 games. In the last seven days, the Cubs second baseman is hitting .368 with one home run and three RBI.
Here is tonight's #Cubs starting lineup. #WinkEmoji
