A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 27-year-old was standing in the street in the 6500 block of South Justine about 2 p.m. when someone crossed a vacant lot and fired at him, police said.

The man was shot in the left arm and back and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
