Police are warning residents about a series of home burglaries over the past week in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

In each of the reported break-ins, one or more suspects have entered homes through the second floor back porch window and stolen property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Two burglaries occurred in the In the 3200 block of West Warren Avenue between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. June 17, police said. Another happened in the 3200 block of West Walnut Street at 3:30 p.m June 16.

During the burglaries on Warren, the suspect or suspects entered the second floor residence first, and after looting it went down to the first floor apartment, police said.
