A boy and an 18-year-old man were shot in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side Monday night.

About 8:30 p.m., the two were outside in the 2700 block of West 38th Street when a red SUV drove up and an occupant got out and fired at them, police said.

The man was shot in the leg, while the boy — whose exact age was not known late Monday — suffered a graze wound to his leg, police said.

Both were taken to Mount Sinai in good condition, police said.
