Former Major League Baseball player Darryl Hamilton was found dead Sunday in an apparent murder-suicide, the Houston Chronicle reports.

According to the report, Pearland police were called to investigate a disturbance in a house in suburban Houston. There they discovered the bodies of Hamilton, 50, and Monica Jordan, 44.

Investigators told the Chronicle that Hamilton had been shot multiple times, and Jordan died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Hamilton had been working as an MLB Network analyst since 2013. He played 13 MLB seasons for the Brewers, Mets, Rockies, Giants and Rangers.

He was a career .291 hitter with 1,333 hits.
