The latest significant impact of the ongoing flooding in the area is the postponement of the Kankakee River Fishing Derby, which was set to begin this week.

It has been postponed at least two weeks, probably to July 10-19. Details are here.

Usually our church youth group helps with the collecting of fish to be tagged. It is quite the thing to see what kind of fish the river offers.
