A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

The shooting happened in the 7500 block of South Ellis at 2:05 p.m., police said.

The 21-year-old was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

He was identified as Devon Davis of the 7500 block of South Indiana, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The shooting might have been a drive-by attack, police said.

A law enforcement source said the man killed was a documented gang member.
