A man was shot and critically wounded in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side Tuesday night.

About 9:50 p.m., the 19-year-old was walking in the 2300 block of South Rockwell when a black SUV pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking him several times, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
