An 18-year-old who was shot dead late Saturday in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood has been identified.

Chad Harris was walking in the 4200 block of West Division at 11:18 p.m. when a gunman walked up and fired shots, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police said the gunman ran away after the shooting.

Harris, of the 100 block of North Harding, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 11:45 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
