A fatal accident at the Hubbard tunnel on the inbound Edens continues to cause a major logjam on the expressway.

The accident, which happened at 2 a.m., has three lanes closed and cleanup and investigation efforts are underway.

Storms and severe weather in the forecast later in the evening could pose some problems in the overnight and into tomorrow morning with flash flood warnings in effect.

Drivers are also running up against a crash on the inbound Bishop Ford at 115th.

There were no reported major delays on Metra or at the airport.

There are a number of closures, daily and long term, through the Illinois Tollway system. Check the state’s map for the latest on impacted areas:
