Cubs infield prospect Javy Baez fractured his left ring finger during a Triple-A game three weeks ago. Baez posted a picture to Instagram of his hand in a cast and a caption saying he’s ready for his rehab.

Baez suffered the non-displaced fractured finger by stealing second base on June 7.

Before fracturing his finger, the Cubs infield prospect was hitting .318 with eight home runs and 29 RBI in 37 Triple-A games.

Baez posted another Instagram picture saying Wednesday is day one of his rehab, starting with cardio to get back into baseball shape.

The Cubs expect Baez to be ready to play for the Iowa Cubs again in four to five weeks.
