A man was arrested with a handgun in his carry-on bag Wednesday morning at Midway, the 13th such incident this year at the Southwest Side airport.

Timothy McGraw, 36, of Homer Glen was charged with one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed firearm at an airport, according to Chicago Police.

A TSA officer detected the loaded .40 caliber Glock 22 among the man’s carry-on items as he was passing through a security checkpoint on his way to Nashville, Tenn., according to a statement from the TSA.

The TSA contacted Chicago Police, who confiscated the firearm and arrested McGraw, authorities said. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 14.

This is the 13th firearm found at Midway in 2015, according to the TSA. In 2014, a total of six were discovered.
