For a first muskie, William O’Connor caught a memorable one: a 47-incher from Lake St. Clair in Michigan.

The Beverly man caught it on his first muskie trip with guide Mike Hulbert, emailed O’Connor’s friend Rich Casillas.

FOTW, the celebration of big fish and good stories around Chicago fishing, appears Wednesdays on the Sun-Times outdoors page.
