SHARE Five garage burglaries reported in Brighton Park, Bridgeport

Police are warning of a string of garage burglaries this month in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side and Bridgeport on the South Side.

In each of five incidents, at least one person enters residential garages and takes property, Chicago Police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened in the following blocks:

  • 3000 block of West 38th Place at 1 p.m. June 1
  • 3100 block of South Aberdeen at 4:40 p.m. and 10 p.m. June 15
  • 800 block of West 33rd Street at 8 a.m. June 20
  • 3500 block of South Rockwell sometime June 20

Police advise residents to keep their properties well-lit, secure all doors and windows and to report suspicious activity immediately.
