A man who was shot by a motorcyclist Saturday evening on the border of the Buena Park and Lake View neighborhoods drove a mile before calling 911, police said.

The 23-year-old was driving in the 1600 block of West Irving Park a few minutes before 6 p.m. when a passing motorcyclist fired shots, police said.

The man, shot in the arm, drove to the 800 block of West Irving Park and called for help, police said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
