SHARE Man shot in West Garfield Park

A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg late Saturday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Just before midnight, he was sitting in a car parked in the 4300 block of West West End Avenue when shots rang out and he realized he was struck, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.
