A 22-year-old man was shot to death Sunday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The man was walking in the 9900 block of South State Street at 2:10 p.m. when a vehicle drove up, and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not confirm the death Sunday night.

A source said the victim is a documented gang member.
