Two of Young’s top talents are transferring to Stevenson.

Rising senior Rodney Herenton and rising junior Willie Herenton are leaving the Dolphins and will play in Lincolnshire next season. Their younger brother, incoming freshman Samuel, will also attend Stevenson. Rodney Herenton Sr. confirmed the move on Sunday.

Rodney, who has an offer from Dartmouth, has been a starter for the Dolphins the past two seasons. Willie started occasionally and was a significant member of the regular rotation.

The three Herenton’s will combine with Stevenson sophomore Justin Smith to assure that the Patriots’ program remains one of the area’s best, even without graduated stars Connor Cashaw and Jalen Brunson.

Young has also lost rising senior Skyler Nash who announced earlier this week he has transferred to Riverside-Brookfield.
