The Cubs will be looking for extra pitching before the trade deadline on July 31, and Mets left-hander Jon Niese is on the list.

According to Fox Sports, the Cubs have interest in Niese.

Niese is 3-7 with a 4.12 ERA and 58 strike outs in 14 starts this season. The Mets starter will pitch against the Cubs on Tuesday at Citi Field.
