A west suburban man has been charged with stabbing a tourist during a fight at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront Hotel in the Loop early Monday.

Eric Padilla, 20, faces one misdemeanor count of battery causing bodily harm, according to Chicago Police.

Padilla cut a 51-year-old man’s arm with a broken bottle during a fight at the hotel at 71 E. Wacker about 12:30 a.m., police said.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for stitches.

Padilla, of the 3700 block of South Austin Boulevard in Cicero, was released on bond and is next scheduled to appear in court Aug. 17.
