Man shot in Chicago Lawn

A man was shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side Tuesday night.

About 10:18 p.m., the 24-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Artesian when another male walked up and shot him, police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left ankle, police said. His condition had stabilized.
