There’s 15 days before the All-Star game, and Cubs pitcher Jon Lester is campaigning for Kris Bryant, Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo to make the All-Star team.

Some fans trashed Lester for putting Castro into the equation because of his recent hitting struggles. The Cubs shortstop is hitting .260 with five home runs and 35 RBI, but he’s hitting .174 the last seven days.

Lester defended his teammate and convinced most fans to vote for Castro and the rest of the Cubs players.

Bryant, Rizzo, Castro and catcher Miguel Montero are all among the top five for their respected positions in the All-Star voting.
