Jahlil Okafor and Karl-Anthony Towns are widely considered to be the two top picks in the NBA Draft, where the Timberwolves and Lakers select one-two, respectively.

A rumor surfaced last week that Okafor did not want to play in Minnesota; he has his heart set on being a Laker.

A rep for Okafor says the anti-Minnesota rumor is a load of crap, according to TMZ.

But we spoke with a rep for the 19-year-old who says, He has never expressed anything about not wanting to play for the Timberwolves and is willing to go wherever he is drafted.

This wouldn’t be the first time rumors were circulated before the draft to steer a team away from a certain player. Legend has it, Kobe Bryant might have ended up with the Nets if not for a planted rumor that helped land the future superstar in Los Angeles.
