A woman was shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the South Side early Friday.

About 2:07 a.m, the 40-year-old was shot several times in the 7200 block of South Artesian, police said.

She was treated at Holy Cross Hospital, where her condition had stabilized, police said.
