Acts handpicked by Chicago hip-hop hero Chance the Rapper will headline a free local music festival aimed at listeners ages 13-24.

The new Teens in the Park Festival will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. June 24 at Northerly Island, 1521 S. Linn White. The performers, chosen by the curator Chance, include DLow and Donnie Trumpet.

While admission is free, guests must register through Live Nation. Fans of any ages over 13 are welcome.

The fest is presented by Chicago City of Learning — an initiative to help young people pursue and develop their interests — along with the Chicago Park District and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
