A man is charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly firing a gun in a February incident that killed a man in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood.

Antonio Lampley, 23, is charged with felony involuntary manslaughter for the Feb. 25 shooting in the 11300 block of South Parnell, Chicago Police said.

Derrius Drakes was shot in the back in the incident, which happened about 4:30 p.m., police said at the time. He made it to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than 15 minutes later.

Authorities believe Lampley fired the weapon, but further details about how the shooting happened were not available Monday night.

Lampley, who lived in the same block on Parnell, was ordered held on a $200,000 bond during a court hearing Sunday, police said. He will next appear in court June 25.
