Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot in the South Side West Englewood neighborhood on Monday night.

The 38-year-old was standing in the 5600 block of South Wolcott at 11 p.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital with gunshot wounds to his hand and leg and was in good condition, police said.
