A 36-year-old man was shot while in a vehicle in the Woodlawn neighborhood Monday afternoon.

At 2:53 p.m., the man was in a vehicle in the 1400 block of East 66th Place when another vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in the chest, shoulder and hand and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. He was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
