Man robs Southwest Side bank

A man robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood.

The suspect entered the Byline Bank branch at 4658 S. Kedzie at 12:08 p.m. and demanded cash from the teller, according to police.

The bank teller complied and the suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash, police said.

He was described as a black man in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5-foot-10, and between 200 and 220 pounds, according to the FBI. He was wearing a Bears hooded sweatshirt, dark sweats, and a black and white bandana over his face.

He did not display or imply that he had a weapon, and no one was hurt in the robbery, police said.
