A 15-year-old old boy was shot Wednesday night in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:35 p.m., the boy was in the 3600 block of South Rhodes when someone got out of a silver Pontiac and fired shots, striking him “in the pelvic area” several times, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
