A man was hurt in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 20-year-old man was walking in the 3800 block of West Gladys about 1:15 a.m. when shots were fired from a gray SUV passing by, according to police.

He was shot in the arm and back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

The SUV fled westbound after the shooting.

The victim is a documented gang member, according to a police source.
