Police are warning Near North Side businesses after a pair of late-night convenience stores were robbed over the last month in Wicker Park.

Two to three masked men have walked into the stores, brandished a pistol and taken cash from the register, according to a Chicago Police alert.

The first robbery happened about 4:40 a.m. on June 17 in the 1500 block of North Damen. The other happened just before midnight on June 28 in the 1400 block of North Milwaukee, police said.

The robbers are described as two or three black men about 18 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 and 150-155 pounds. They were wearing black hoodies, new white gym shoes and white cloth masks over the bottoms of their faces.

In one robbery, one of the men was wearing a cap with the “Ghostbusters” movie logo, police said.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
