An electrical crew struck a gas line early Thursday in the Loop, prompting a level one HazMat response and causing buses to be temporarily rerouted.

The incident happened about 3:50 a.m. at 150 W. Madison, when an electrical crew hit a gas line, police said. No one was injured and No. 20 Madison buses were temporarily rerouted, but have since resumed normal service.

ComEd is on the scene, but further details were not available.
