A man was injured in an Avalon Park neighborhood shooting Sunday evening on the South Side.

The man, 22, was shot in the leg about 6:05 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Stony Island, police said.

He took himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
