The Blue Jays made the splashiest pre-deadline trade so far, acquiring Troy Tulowitzki from the Rockies. But Toronto may not be done.

FOX Sports reports that the Blue Jays are still in talks with the White Sox about a trade for starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija.

The Blue Jays have been the apparent frontrunner for Samardzija, but the White Sox reportedly won’t make a move until after the Boston series.

Samardzija is 7-5 with a 3.91 ERA in his first season with the White Sox. He started slow but has been stellar since June 13, making eight straight starts of seven innings or more. He has a 2.55 ERA during that stretch.

The Astros had reportedly inquired about Samardzija prior to their trade for Scott Kazmir.

Samardzija is still scheduled to pitch at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday night in Boston.
