Two shot in Gage Park

A 14-year-old boy and 20-year-old man were shot Thursday afternoon in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 2:30 p.m., they were in an alley in the 5900 block of South Maplewood when a gunman ran up and opened fire, police said.

The man drove himself to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. His condition stabilized, police said.

The teen was grazed by a ricocheting bullet. He declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.
