A 41-year-old man was shot in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood late Friday.

About 11:45 p.m., the man was walking on a sidewalk in the 700 block of East 44th Street when someone fired shots out of a passing vehicle, police said.

The man was taken to Provident Hospital, then transferred to Stroger Hospital with gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and left thigh, police said. His condition was stabilized.
