Back of the Yards drive-by leaves man in serious condition

A 22-year-old man was injured in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The man was standing in the 4500 block of South Honore about 2:30 p.m. when a white van pulled up. A gunman then exited the vehicle and opened fire, shooting the man multiple times, police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he is in serious condition.

Police added the man is a documented gang member.
