Two men were shot in South Chicago Monday night, the neighborhood’s second shooting in as many hours.

About 7:30 p.m., the two men were outside in the 7900 block of South Bennett when an unknown shooter walked out of a gangway and shot them, police said.

Both men were shot in the back, police said. One man, 23, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, while the other man, 25, was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center. Both were listed in good condition.

Two hours earlier, a 16-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting about a half mile east.
