More photo proof: MLB grounds crew is a full-contact sport

It rained in Pittsburgh tonight. Was windy, too.

And by the time the infield could be covered, an MVP had been pulled into action and a member of the ground crew had been swallowed whole by a tarp at PNC Park during the Pirates-Cincinnati Reds game.

It’s not all just raking dirt and painting lines, folks.

The Latest
After about seven and half hours of deliberations, the jury convicted Sandra Kolalou, 37, of all the charges she faced, which included first-degree murder, dismembering a body, concealing a homicidal death and aggravated identity theft. Her attorney plans to appeal.
It would be beyond shocking to this city if the Bears’ future had any other path than following Williams as a trailblazer.
The Bears will focus on quality over quantity in this week’s draft.
If Ryan Poles is right about USC quarterback Caleb Williams in Shane Waldron’s offense, drafting the Marvin Harrisons of the world won’t be as critical as it usually is for the Bears. More often than not, elite QBs make elite receivers rather than the other way around.
